Our paperwork

The London Direct Vision Standard rates HGVs on how much the driver can see directly from the cab. Vehicles operating in Greater London need a valid permit, and those below the required star rating must be fitted with a Progressive Safe System to obtain one.

Our fleet meets the requirement and is fitted with progressive safety systems, so deliveries into the capital happen without a last-minute permit problem.

Beyond the permit

The Progressive Safe System is not box-ticking. It covers camera monitoring of the nearside, blind spot sensors, audible warnings for turning manoeuvres, side underrun protection and warning signage — measures aimed squarely at cyclist and pedestrian safety in dense urban traffic.

Combined with our HVO fuel option, deliveries into London can be made both DVS-compliant and lower-carbon on contracts where that is specified.

What is the Progressive Safe System?
